SEND

At Ramsey Spinning Infants our core belief is that ALL children should achieve their full potential. We are an inclusive school which offers a range of provision to support children with additional needs to ensure they are successful learners. We expect every child with SEND to receive a full and enriching education to enable them to achieve their potential. This is so that they can make a successful and happy transition to their next phase.

We recognise that each child is an individual and value their individual strengths and skills. We aim to meet the needs of all pupils through: 

• Carefully planned, ordinarily available quality first teaching. 

• Providing the tools, tailored activities and sensory and emotional support needed on a daily basis. 

• Where needed, an adapted curriculum, including advice from professionals; social, emotional, mental health needs; appropriate interventions and effective adult support. 

We involve external experts whenever necessary to improve our offer and ensure that children’s needs are identified and met as quickly as possible. We similarly ensure that staff have the relevant training and support to ensure that best practice is used with regard to SEND. Teachers, support staff and the inclusion team have frequent and open communication ensuring that the school community works together to implement plans and provide for children with SEND.

At every step of this process, we aim to involve parents and families and build trusting and open relationships. It is important that we work as a team with you to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
