Vision

At Ramsey Spinning Infants we believe that children learn best when they are interested, motivated and engaged within the learning process. Our curriculum is coherently planned and is underpinned by our school values. It is designed to promote curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. We want all of our children to feel empowered and to develop into independent, lifelong learners equipped with personal characteristics required to succeed in life.

Our curriculum encompasses the formal requirement of the EYFS and National Curriculum, which provides the framework for determining the main learning expectations, building on prior knowledge and ensuring the progression of acquisition of knowledge and skills. We celebrate individuality, our curriculum supports the children academically, socially and emotionally.  We strive for each and every child to achieve their full potential and place a strong emphasis on reading and vocabulary development. We recognise that these are fundamental to our children succeeding, and  accessing other areas of the curriculum.

Ramsey Spinning Infants is at the heart of the community, therefore it is essential for our curriculum to celebrate local traditions. Our children throughout the year take an active role in events which promote a sense of belonging. Ensuring our curriculum offers our children cultural diversity, allows them to develop an understanding and tolerance of others and become responsible citizens of the future. We are passionate about providing our children with a range of enriching learning experiences and opportunities which go beyond the classroom. We want to extend the children’s opportunities, raise aspirations and open our children’s eyes to the world beyond their immediate environment. We want children to feel confident and have the knowledge and skills to make decisions about their own futures.
